Ever had an event and wanted to have something different, unique and eye catching to your guest? Something that made them say “Wow, this is memorable and so much fun!”? Well Dolce owner, Laura Weiss, has yet again come up with an idea to WOW consumers and help any event stick out above others.

Pink Candy Buffet

Now I’m sure most of you have heard of or seen a “candy bar” or a “candy buffet” at some point in your lives. What’s different with Dolce’s? Well besides the expertise and creative minds that would go behind choosing the best goodies, our team will make it easy and stress- free. We have the perfect sweets for birthdays, weddings, bar mitzvahs, going away parties, corporate events, etc. This list goes on and on!  The picture above is an example of a candy bar we have done in the past. This was for a baby naming and the theme was obviously “PINK”. We created the theme, ordered the best (and only the best) candies and sweets and then brainstormed the best lay out for the event.

BYOT Party…

Sunday, August 23rd, 2009

What is the “T”?  Topping, of course.  It’s an ice cream sundae party!  This is a great, easy and inexpensive way to entertain.  Invite your friends over and all you have to provide are the beverages and the ice cream. This past Saturday I had a BYOT party and it was a huge success.  The favorite topping of the night, as simple as it sounds, was Homemade Hot Fudge. The recipe is from Nancy Ferreira and thanks to Abby Brunelle for making it and sharing it with all of us.  How easy and impressive it was all at the same time.

  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 2 cups confectionary sugar
  • 1 can evaporated milk (13oz.)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  1. Pour chocolate chips, margarine, sugar and evaporated milk into a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  3. Cook 8 minutes.
  4. Keep stirring the mixture so it doesn’t burn the bottom of the pan.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Add vanilla and cool.
  7. Reheat for serving.
